An update…I’m picking up Andrew’s slack

Mar 23

Ok, so one of Andrew’s “New Years Resolutions” was to blog more often.  He hasn’t blogged in like 2 months so I guess it’s up to me to pick up his slack.  Andrew, you’re a slacker!!!  lol  So, a lot has happened since I last did an entry.  I’ll start with January and work my way to the present.  January was good and bad.  We said goodbye to my Uncle, he passed away, losing his battle with Cancer.  The day after he passed away, we celebrated my brother’s 30th birthday.  He spent the day with Andrew, they went to a fishing show and spent a few hours at Bass Pro.  I’m surprised we didn’t have to send a search party out after them.  They could spend days in that place.  When they got back, Cindy and I surprised Erick with an M&M ice cream cake.  February was just as crazy as January.  We celebrated my 34th birthday on the 9th.  Andrew made me a wonderful dinner and bought me a chocolate strawberry shortcake torte from Pennsylvania Bakery and got me the Otter Box case I wanted for my phone.  Presidents Day weekend brought back my favorite time of year…NASCAR Season!!!!!!!  We spent the weekend at Erick and Cindy’s and watched Daytona and had game night.  The only damper on the weekend was Andrew’s Equinox broke down and what we thought would be possibly a few days in the garage to replace the oil pump turned into over a month in the garage to replace a blown engine.  Fortunately his parents have an extra car they were able to lend him.  The garage got the replacement engine in but when they went to put it in the Equinox, there was damage probably caused during shipping but to be safe, they pulled it out and sent it back for another replacement.  We’re hoping to have it back by this weekend but in the meantime, Andrew is stalking the garage.  He drives by every day on his way home from work so he can see his “Baby” (Now I know how I rate lol)  March started out pretty good and then went downhill.  Andrew started getting sick and 2 days later, sure enough…I got it!  I spent 3 days in bed in a NyQuil induced coma.  I had so many layers on me. I just couldn’t get warm.  We’re feeling much better now.  I don’t want to ever get sick like that again.  Now onto wedding stuff…2 weeks ago Mom, Cindy and I went wedding gown shopping and I found my gown.  It’s gorgeous!  I decided to wait til late summer to order it though.  Andrew and I just started Weight Watchers and I don’t want to order my gown now and have to worry about it being too big.  We’re still slowly working on the rest of the plans but I’m taking plenty of time to enjoy my engagement.  I just don’t want to have to worry about all kinds of little things that were forgotten at the last minute.  I’d rather have it all done early than run around like a chicken with its head cut off at the last minute.  Well I guess that’s pretty much it for now.  Until later…
